In Her Shoes
GMs: Amber DiTullio, Rich DiTullio
Number of Players: 3-6
Game type: Shared World

Another beautiful day at lovely Castle Amber: a place where perfect days are the rule. Today will be perfectly weird. There was a moment of broken cold running through your body. Now you've lost your body, your stuff, and maybe your mind. You better figure out how to get them back before something perfectly irritating becomes permanently weird. There may be a damsel in distress or glass slipper involved.

All Characters are of Amber descent. Characters are based on 100 points with free pattern and up to 4 points of artifacts. Partial powers ok, advanced powers not allowed. Characters to be e-mailed to the GM before game start. GMs will provide pre-gens without free bonuses for those not submitting characters ahead of convention.

Kill Corwin, Vol. 1
GMs: Kris & Tara Kunkel
Number of Players: 1-16
Game type: Amber Gaming, Board Game

King Oberon has been missing for a couple years now and Prince Eric is making rumblings about crowning himself. But we all know the succession in the Jewel of Cities can never be that easy. Prince Corwin, long thought dead, has regained his memory by walking the Pattern of Rebma. He used its power to teleport to Castle Amber to collect supporters, information and objects of power to make his own bid for the throne. Each of his siblings has a reason to prefer if brother Corwin wasn't involved, but since Oberon decreed a fratricide will never hold the throne the trick is to dispose of him while the others aren't looking.

Based on the popular boardgame "Kill Dr. Lucky", most often described as "Clue" in reverse, by Cheap Ass Games. In this variant the player will take on the role of a scion of Amber and after searching Castle Amber for weapons and other useful items, try to corner Corwin in a room that cannot be seen by the other players and attempt to finish what Eric started over two centuries ago.

Special disclaimer: The average game tends to run about an hour; this will be run multiple times with different outcomes. No characters needed. No materials required other than a good sense of humor.

Le Cynge: The Lost Swan of Amber
GMs: Michael Croft & Ginger Stampley
Number of Players: 4-8
Game type: Single adventure
Game url: http://www.whiterose.org/ginger/tbr2004/lecygne.html

An Amber game set during Patternfall.

It is what all ships that ply the Golden Circle fear: the freak storm that takes a vessel beyond the double-dozen seas of the trade routes. That Le Cygne survived was a boon of some god, beneficent or maleficent.

Le Cygne is in dire straits, low on supplies, her mostly-foreign crew restless and potentially mutinous, a fever raging belowdecks, the Captain gone. The remaining officers are barely able to hold the crew together. The lookouts who sighted land may have found your salvation or the place where your bones will bleach away the years.

Pregenerated non-royal characters will be provided at the con. Everway knowledge useful, but not essential.

Tall Tales of Pattern and Shadow
GM: Jack Gulick
Number of Players: 3-8
Game type: Alternate Amber, Elders, Storytelling

It was Bleys that started it, although later Corwin and Eric argued for credit themselves. A stormy night in Castle Amber, Oberon in a dark mood and his children under orders to await his pleasure, stuck in dull eventlessness.

What better, now, to do than to trade lies?

An "Extraordinary Adventures of Baron Munchausen"-inspired game of Elder Braggadocio in a pre-Patternfall era.

Slot 2 - Friday, 7:00 p.m. to midnight

Cry of the Unicorn
GM: Matt Andrews
Number of Players: 3-8
Game type: Serial
Game url: http://www.memento-mori.ca/amber/CoU/index.html

It's hundreds of years after Patternfall. Random reigns as King in Amber, and the Emperor of Chaos is bound by a Blood Truce to maintain peace with Amber. It's a great time for Amber, ruling the entirety of reality. The children of the Elders are coming of age, and making themselves known at the Castle.

Cry of the Unicorn uses an alternate Chaos (as described on the website). There was no Merlin series in this universe. There is no Logrus, and no Serpent of Chaos. What happens next in this world follows a different set of rules.

Characters must be made in line with the modified power rules given on the website, with 100 points. Bonus points are available for those who create character before the con via e-mail. Characters must be based in Amber.

If You Can't Take the Heat
GMs: Michael Curry and Jennifer Jackson
Number of Players: 6-8
Game type: Crossover

Famous chefs and food personalities have been collected from Shadow Earth and brought to Amber by Florimel. They're here to participate in a cooking competition that will decide who will take the head position in the kitchens of Amber. Of course, they're used to the intense rivalry of the culinary world, but, given the often devious nature of those who call Amber Castle home, they may be forced to rely on more than just their gastronomic skills to succeed.

[Previously run at ACUS 2004.]

Character choices must be selected prior to the con.

Outsiders Looking In
GM: DJ Quinn
Number of Players: 4-6
Game type: Freeform

After the Patternfall War, during the first hard years of Random's reign, an increasing number of "children" arrived in The Eternal City. Oberon's children had been having children of their own, secreting them off in shadow. As time passed, these children arrived in Amber. Some were led, some were called, others just stumbled.

Most of the new generation fit the same mold from which their parents we cast: medieval, Celtic, Norse, Arthurian. Nearly all are humanoid.

Some of you, however, are outside that mold. You don't fit in. You're the outsiders at the end of the universe. Welcome to their world. (Players should be internally motivated and comfortable with surprises.)

Most characters will be pre-generated before the convention, but if you have an idea that fits the concept, I'll entertain it.

Patterns of Malice
GMs: Tara & Kris Kunkel
Number of Players: 2-6
Game type: Amber gaming, Everway system
Game url: http://users.rcn.com/kunkels/tbr/argentway/

Emperor Corwin has traveled to Amber to discuss issues of trade and to enjoy a short honeymoon with his new Empress.

He wasn't gone a week when the Trumps began acting oddly. Not all of them, but some, specifically the older decks. The Regent hopes that the problems can be resolved before the Emperor and his bride return.

Character generation will be done prior to the convention. Several characters will be available for those unable to participate. See website for complete Character Generation details or email the GMs... kunkels at rcn dot com

A Simple Task, Well Rewarded
GM: Richard DiTullio
Number of Players: 2-6
Game type: Shared World

Amber, the land of opportunity!

That's what brought you here all those many years ago. The chance for power, for wealth, for recognition. Certainly it wasn't to be lost in the crowd, just another hopeful face. If only you could prove yourself to the powers that be!

Such were your thoughts the day the grizzled ranger of Arden approached you. It seems His Highness, Prince Julian, has heard of you and feels you would be perfect for a simple task he requires. A trade mission of sorts, a precious cargo to be obtained by whatever means deemed best and returned safely to Arden. Are you interested?

To refuse would be unwise.

To fail, doubly so.

This is Amber. Nothing is simple here.

80 point characters from Amber or the Golden Circle. A partial power system will be used.

A Wizard in the Attic
GM: Paul Weimer
Number of Players: 4-7
Game type: Shared World, Alternate Amber
Game url: http://www.all-roads-lead.net/jvstin/attic.html

It is fifty years after Patternfall, a Patternfall somewhat different than the one you are familiar with. The Ultimate Enemy, she who would have destroyed and remade the universe in her own image, was the incredibly evil and dangerous Princess Fiona. Sadly, her far more noble brother Bleys sacrificed his own life, at the end, to stop her there at the edge of the Abyss, in the only way possible, by knocking herself, and him, into the Abyss. This left only Brand as the last of the three red headed children of Oberon. Somewhat kooky, but, still, Amber's most powerful sorcerer.

Now, in the peace of King Random's reign, Prince Brand, the wizard of Castle Amber, has been acting even more unusual and dare we say, unstable, than usual recently. Is he going mad? Or is some enemy to blame? What exactly is going wrong with the Wizard in the Attic?

BYOC: 150 point characters, no advanced powers. Obviously Amberites (or at worst Crossbreeds) preferred...Crossbreeds might actually draw suspicion to themselves if their ancestry is known.

Slot 3 - Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Firescape
GM: Nicole Quinn
Number of Players: 6-12
Game type: Crossover

The crew of the starship Serenity is on the run, and on the brink of disaster. Suddenly, a blue and white swirling hole like nothing they've ever seen before opens in space.

The crew of Moya has been investigating wormholes, as lost-in-space astronaut John Crichton tries to improve his odd navigational skills. On the other side of this wormhole is a future for earth Crichton never imagined, even in his wildest dreams.

The TV shows Firefly and Farscape collide - and you can be a part of it. It is recommended that you have some familiarity with the show you will be playing a character from, though you don't need to know the other show at all. Please send the GM a list of your top 3 preferred characters to play. All points will be pregenerated, but their personas are up to you.Firefly regular crew (9 main characters) and Farscape not-killed-by-mid-season-4 crew characters preferred.

Characters must come from the TV series Farscape (3rd or 4th season only) or from the TV series Firefly.

Grand Theft Amber: Vice City
GM: Sean McCabe
Number of Players: 4-8
Game type: Recast

Living on the streets of Vice City is hard, luckily you're the best at what you do. What is that exactly? Crime. Whether your a wheel man, or a safe cracker, or an enforcer your almost a legend in your own time. That time is the 80's and you've just been hired by three red-headed strangers to commit the ultimate heist. Fortune and infamey await you, if you can do the job and get out alive.

Characters are 75 pts with no magic of any kind, no pattern, no trump, no logrus, and no shapeshift. Your regular humans on an 80's shadow earth. After choosing your stats the rest of the points will go to skills that would help you in various criminal acts. Extra points will be given to those who wear 80's costumes.

The Mark of Benedict
GM: Glen Seymour
Number of Players: 2-6
Game type: ADRP

Welcome to the early days of Amber, where everything is going well. Manticores have been hunted to near extinction, new trade routes have been laid, and spring is in the air.

Your youngest brother Benedict will take the pattern tomorrow. What could possibly go wrong?

Characters will be created by modified auction; auction will start in e-mail.

Nine Losers in Akron
GM: Michael Curry
Number of Players: 4-8
Game type: Recast

f***. looks like one of the f***ers who hates dad finally decided to do something about it. granddad says he was down at the 7-11 last night buying his f***ing lameass porno mags, when he saw a couple of big guys dragging your dad into some beat-up panel van and driving off. a**holes. you could call the cops, but those f***ers don't really like anybody in your loser family, so they probably won't f***ing do anything. f***. looks like it's up to you to get dad back.

[This is a kill puppies for satan (http://www.septemberquestion.org/lumpley/puppies.html) game centering around a family made up of recast Amber Elders. Rules will be taught, but taking the time to check out the kpfs site before you sign up is strongly recommended. The game involves far too much foul language and plenty of things that are very wrong (like, you know, the puppy killing part), so consider yourself warned.]

Game uses the kill puppies for satan rules; rules will be taught; pregenerated characters will be provided

Three Amberites and a Baby (A Breakfast Club Game)
GMs: Deb Atwood, Jennifer Jackson
Number of Players: 6-8
Game type: Shared World, Freeform.

New arrivals, a masquerade ball, murder and mayhem, and only now is Chaos about to be introduced - literally. Oberon is bringing a delegation into Amber to open discussions. With everyone in the family on best behavior, nothing could go wrong, could it?

Set long before the time of Patternfall, this scenario is the fourth in the series that began with The Breakfast Club and continued with Halloween and The Fifth Element. This is *not* a continuing campaign. It is not at all necessary to have participated in previous episodes. Both new and returning players/characters are welcome.

[Previously run at ACUS 2002.]

Characters: Amberites only. Please contact GMs prior to con. Before Con based on 140 points

Social Event - Saturday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Slot 4 - Saturday, 7:00 p.m. to midnight

Amber: The Labrynth
GMs: Matt 'MonkeyMan' Andrews, Sean McCabe
Number of Players: 4-8

Amber: Strategy
GM: Geoff Leatham
Number of Players: 4-10
Game type: Boardgame adaption

Play the Great Game in the eternal city of Amber. Amber: Strategy is a boardgame adaptation of the political maneuvering described in Zelazny's material but infrequently enacted in the Amber DRPG. Players will be able to attempt to control Arden, become Duke of Kolvir, recruit Shadow troops in an effort to gain a regency and the crown of Amber. You will also count coup on your siblings in an effort to gain the prestige necessary to become monarch of the realm. Conversion rules are available to bring your Amber DRPG characters to the game, or begin the game with an attribute auction. Conversion characters will be modified so that all players start at the same level. This game is just being developed and these sessions are considered playtest sessions. The rules are still in flux. For a look at the rules in their current form, email leatham@uri.edu.

Dreams Made Flesh
GM: Paul Weimer
Number of Players: 4-7
Game type: Shared World
Game url: http://www.all-roads-lead.net/jvstin/dmf.html

Last night is a fog in your mind. You don't remember too much..something about King Random, and something about going up to Tir on his behalf--and you can't even remember why or for what reason.

The funny part is, you don't remember coming back down, but there you are, waking up in your rooms in the Castle. Your rooms look pretty much the same...but why are you suddenly sharing a bed with someone you have never seen before? And why is everyone insisting that Amber lost the war? And surely the person sitting on the throne can't be the monarch of Amber, can it?

And why do you remember things differently and no one else? Have you come to a different Amber? Have things somehow been changed?

BYOC: 175 point characters--Amberites (or Crossbreeds) preferred...characters trusted to have done a mission for theAmber Crown.

My Life With Corwin
GM: Jack Gulick
Number of Players: 2-6
Game type: Alternate system, background story

Beyond the River of the Blessed
There we sat down,
Yea, we wept,
When we remembered Avalon.

Corwin, Sorcerer King of Avalon, has many minions. His demands are many, and his whims are law. Will you serve him best or fail him in his hour of need? Will you find love before your humanity fails?

Amber meets My Life With Master in this exploration of the price of service under a mad lord.

Rules will be taught. Familiarity with My Life With Master (www.halfmeme.com) a plus.

Nine Kobolds in Trouble
GMs: Michael Croft & Ginger Stampley
Number of Players: 4-10
Game type: Recast
Game url: http://www.whiterose.org/ginger/tbr2004/9kobolds.html

King OberTorg (All hail King OberTorg!) is taking a new bride. The High Priest of Vor (The Angry Red God) has declared that only Princes and Princesses may fetch the delicacies for this most important of Royal Wedding Feasts. That means ... babies! Go forth from the caverns of Koboldvir and return with yummy babies, or face the pot yourself.

As you find babies, you should also be on the lookout for a fine wedding present to please King OberTorg (All hail King OberTorg!). If you find something he and his bride like, you may be rewarded. If you bring home something better than your brothers and sisters do, maybe King OberTorg (All hail King OberTorg!) will make you his heir.

Assuming you don't get zapped by the mad wizard Suhuy, that is. Nobody said it was easy being a Kobold prince. Well, OK, maybe they did, but what do they know? Have they ever been a canine pyrozoomaniac with a tendency towards chicken lycanthropy? I thought not!

Which will it be? Heir or hors d'oeuvre? Main man or main course? Only Dworkin can tell.

An Amber-Kobolds Ate My Baby crossover using the KAMB! 3rd edition rules. No prior experience necessary. Pregenerated characters will be distributed at the con. All you need is a low sense of humor or something that can be used as one. The desire to play furry little base creatures with no impulse control or instinct for self-preservation will help. Some.

Slot 5 - Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Amber: Once Upon a Time
GM: Glen Seymour
Number of Players: 2-8
Game type: Amber inspired card game

For a relaxing end of the con, we'll tell a bunch of Amber stories without a real GM. "Once Upon a Time" is a story telling card game. The Amber version has the blank cards filled in with words like "Oberon" and "Dworkin". Each game starts with the words, "Once upon a time in Amber..." The rest is up to you.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?
GMs: Deb Atwood, Paul Weimer, Amber DiTullio
Number of Players: 5-7
Game type: Freeform, pregenerated

It is fifty years after Patternfall. The realm is at peace, and life is good. Vialle and Random have a son, and, Martin wanting nothing to do with the throne, the son is now the heir to Amber. Not that Random and Vialle have any plans on retirement.

No, the sticky wicket comes when Random and Vialle's son brings home the woman he has been talking about for months, the woman he would, with their blessing, like to marry. Along with her parent, who has insisted on coming to Amber to meet her opposite numbers...

A social game of mystery, secrets, intrigue and roleplaying.

Characters will be provided pregenerated at-con.

The Jewel of Zhong-Kui
GM: Michael Curry
Number of Players: 4-8
Game type: non-Amber

The day after the museum reception, a man dressed in monk's robes appears at the door of Uncle's Rare Finds. "The Jewel of Zhong Kui has been taken, and you must help me get it back....before it is too late!"

Ai-yaaa!!!

Players will take on the roles of Jackie, Uncle, Jade and the rest of the Jackie Chan Adventures gang, as they try to retrieve a stolen artifact and, as always, foil an evil plot. Some familiarity with the television series is highly recommended.

Pre-generated characters will be provided.

Nine Babes in Amber
GMs: Nicole and DJ Quinn
Number of Players: 4-8
Game type: Crossover

You have opened a top secret file, and learned that a year ago, a group of people gathered by Jurisfiction went into the Amber novels themselves to foil a nefarious plot in which a teenage geek named Merlin and his gamer friends attempted to take over the entire series. While you were working, Roger Zelazney went into the novels, and has not been seen in the real world since. SpecOps-27 has recently found that the books are again changing, into a big-breasted chicks-in-chainmail saga called "Nine Babes in Amber", about nine women and their battle with each other to rule the land beside...King Roger. Your mission is to go into the books and return them to the way they once were.

This game takes place in a little corner of the Thursday Next universe, created by author Jasper Fforde. Information on the universe can be found at http://www.thursdaynext.com, information on SpecOps can be found at http://www.specops.org.uk, or you could just pick up a copy of Jasper Fforde's "The Eyre Affair" to get a feel for the place. You do not, however, need to have read the books in order to play the game; many players in the past have had fun without any knowledge of the books.

Characters should be based in the universe of Thursday Next. 100 points; please run characters by the GM prior to game.

The Year Everything Changed
GM: JP Brannan
Number of Players: 5-12
Game type: Shared World

Five years after the Patternfall War Amber's ultimate fate will be settled. As Deirdre and Bleys form a tentative alliance to save Amber from the onslaught of Corwin's pattern, Chaos' long-term plans come to fruition. Players will step into the roles of major players on one or more sides of the conflict, depending on how many players sign up. This game loosely employs the same Amber setting as Shadowforce Oberon, Amber: the West Wing, and On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The genre is titanic drama.

Pregenerated Elders, Younger Amberites, Chaos Lords, and Key Lieutenants
