Is TBR an Ambercon?
The Black Road is not "officially" an Ambercon, but TBR is organized in much the same way as one and features Amber-related gaming, so most people consider us to be one.
Why do I need to register in advance?
We schedule our games and assign players to them before the convention, so we need to know who will be there and who will be running games.
What kind of games can be run at TBR?
Please see our GM Guide.
Where are the games run?
The games are run in the attendees' hotel suites, often in the suite of the GM running the game.
How are games assigned?
A month or more before the con we ask the attendees to choose which games they would like to play. We then assign players to their preferred games based mainly on the order in which they registered for the convention, though GMs get priority as our way of thanking them for contributing events.
What is this new indie game track?
Please see the GM Guide for an explanation of just what we mean by the term indie game. The indie game track is being run as an experiment in expanding the variety of games we offer, and for TBR 2006 there will be a maximum of one indie game per slot.
